Originally founded in London in 2002, Zuma is a global culinary icon, known for its modern Japanese cuisine, elevated ambience, and innovative dining experience. With its expansion into Saudi Arabia, Zuma needed a localized brand presence that would maintain its signature sophistication while embracing cultural authenticity.
STORM Design Studio was invited to translate this deeply emotional and cultural concept into a brand identity that could resonate with a modern, global audience while honoring the Levant’s timeless charm.
Solution
We built a luxury brand experience inspired by the elegance of Levantine architecture, flavors, and traditions. The visual identity drew from historic symbolism, such as the top view of a Damascene fountain—interpreted in the logomark to evoke flow, community, and refinement.
Every element, from typography to the color palette, reflected warmth and sophistication. The brand collaterals—menus, business cards, promotional materials—were designed to feel like extensions of the Yasma dining experience: tasteful, textured, and timeless.
We also crafted a custom website that offers a digital journey into Yasma’s world—elegant, intuitive, and aligned with the restaurant’s ambiance and ethos.
Impact
Yasma emerged as a distinctive voice in Vancouver’s fine dining scene. The cohesive brand experience elevated its perception, enhanced recognition, and reflected the founders’ vision with grace and depth—bridging heritage and modernity on every plate and page.
