Kaymen Steel is a steel service provider in the Greater Toronto Area, known for precision, speed and reliability for more than a decade.
Its buyers shortlist before they call. Until the rebrand, that reputation lived in people, and the brand gave a procurement team nothing to check it against.

(02) Challenge
Trust that travelled by word of mouth
Steel service is bought on precision, speed and reliability, and every competitor claims all three. A buyer comparing suppliers learns nothing from the claim. The decision is usually made before contact: a procurement team shortlists from a website and a document, and a dated brand removes a supplier without a word. Kaymen had a decade of earned trust and no way to show it. That trust sat with the project managers who delivered, and it moved when they did. The rebrand also had to protect it, because a change that looked like a new company would have cost more than it gained.
(03) Decision
Design for the shortlist
The position
Built on what the market already valued: durability, professionalism and consistency. Kaymen argues from evidence buyers have already accepted, not from growth language.
The consequence
The brand had to read as the same company, only clearer. The mark was refined, not replaced, so a decade of recognition carried over. Every asset had to hold up where a buyer meets it: a tender document, a uniform, a screen.
What was built
- A position anchored in durability, professionalism and consistency
- A refined mark and an industrial palette with the authority procurement teams expect
- A visual language calibrated for B2B, where restraint reads as competence
- Print, collateral and uniforms drawn from one system
- A website structured for clarity and lead generation
How it launched
The change went out across print, uniforms and the website, and Kaymen received a documented system that holds the standard without Storm in the room. Engagement: Storm Grow™.
(04) Impact
A brand a procurement team can verify before the first call.
