Storm Design Studio® (“Storm”, “we”, “us”) is a strategic brand studio founded in Canada in 2018, headquartered in Riyadh, with studios in Toronto and Dubai.

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit stormdesign.studio, contact us, or work with us. For client engagements, the Storm entity named in your proposal or agreement is responsible for your information.

02What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: name, email, company, phone number, the engagement you are interested in, and your message.
• Updates sign-up: name and email.
• Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, and information shared during a project.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referring site and time on page, collected through Google Analytics.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 08.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website. Please do not send it.

03How we use it

• To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals.
• To deliver, manage and invoice client engagements.
• To send updates you asked for. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it.
• To keep the website and our systems secure.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

04Legal basis

Depending on where you are, we process personal information on one or more of these grounds:

• Your consent.
• The steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you.
• Our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio, where this does not override your rights.
• Compliance with a legal obligation.

05Who we share it with

We share personal information only with parties that help us run the studio, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms:

• Website hosting and email delivery providers.
• Google Analytics, for website measurement.
• Calendly, if you book a meeting through it.
• WhatsApp and Meta, when you contact us on WhatsApp or view our embedded Instagram feed.
• Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
• Partners on a specific project, only where you have agreed.
• Public authorities, where the law requires it.

06International transfers

Storm works across Saudi Arabia, Canada and the United Arab Emirates, and some of our providers store data in other countries. Where personal information moves across borders, we take the steps required by applicable law to keep it protected.

07How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client and project records: for the length of the engagement, and afterwards for as long as legal, tax and accounting rules require.
• Analytics data: according to the retention settings in Google Analytics.
• Updates sign-up: until you unsubscribe.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

08Cookies

We use cookies that the website needs to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand how it is used. Embedded content, such as our Instagram feed, Google Fonts and scheduling tools, may also set cookies or receive your IP address.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work as intended without them.

09Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, including the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, you can:

• Know how your information is used.
• Access your information and receive a copy.
• Ask us to correct information that is incomplete or inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.
• Object to certain processing, including direct marketing.

To make a request, email hi@stormdesign.studio. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the competent data protection authority, such as SDAIA in Saudi Arabia.

10Security

We use administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No transmission or storage method is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Children

This website is intended for businesses and professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

12Other websites

This website links to client websites, social platforms and other services. Their privacy practices are their own, and we recommend reading their policies.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
